Basically, Orbot and Cubot throw a surprise for the sudden, unexpected birth for Eggman's mystical rock, and none M-preg, conceived son- or he at least Eggman decided to keep him as his son, and name him Chris(yes, that Chris) as a little shortened pun for how he was conceived, DNA analysis matching his DNA or not.I swear this kind of makes a little more sense in context.
